East
DuPage
Deanery
East DuPage Deanery is the next wider ring of the Council of Catholic Women and has two principal events a year, a Fall Coffee and a Spring Institute, for the spiritual and educational enrichment of the women of the Deanery; it also  serves as a resource for Parish Councils of Catholic Women, one of which is its bi-monthly newsletter, the Significa.  The newest resource for Parish CCWs in the Deanery website. Below is a link to the EDD website which contains links to its last six issues of the newsletter, and information on possible Commission programs, activities or projects for parish CCWs or individuals.
Page 1 of the "Parish CCW brochure" lists the current Deanery board members with phone #s, and e-addresses, and there is also a link to our current Deanery Project with ideas for how parish may participate if they wish.

St. Alexander Council of Catholic Women at 300 S Cornell Avenue, Villa Park, IL 60181 US - Elizabeth Ministry / Rosebud Program

Elizabeth Ministry / Rosebud Program

Elizabeth Ministry

Elizabeth Ministry provides a variety of services to young women and families, including a Wednesday morning 'Mom & Tot' morning, and monthly scrapbooking nights.  See the parish bulletin for details.
In addition, we offer the Rosebud program of prayers for expecting and hoping-to-expect mothers.  in front of the statue of St. Theresa (near the Reconciliation Room at the rear of our church) is a vase of different colored artificial flowers with prayer cards attached.  There are prayer cards for women expecting a child, hoping to conceive, or hoping to adopt, etc.  Women - or their relatives or friends - choose a rose with the appropriate prayer card, write the woman's first name on the card, place the rose in the vase, and the card in the provided box.  At frequent intervals, the cards are picked up, and the woman's name is included in the prayer services at various Council of Catholic Women events.
